personality: Max can be a bit vain, both in his appearance and social status. He spends a great deal of time manufacturing the perfect image, both in the mirror and in the minds' of others. He plays football, basketball and soccer, all of which he hopes will catapult him to the top of the social ladder as he enters McKinley as a neophyte in his senior year. He only dates the prettiest girls, and it is a boost if they are popular. He would prefer someone sweet over someone sour, but since he is not looking to get married at this point, he'll take what looks the best in a mini-skirt. When he picks a prize, he will do just about anything to make it happen.

Despite his reputation as something of a man-whore, he is actually very respectful of any girls he dates. Sure, he'd love it if a girl wanted to jump in the sack, but that is not in the cards ofr all high school relationships, and he is fine with that. Unlike other popular jocks, he is not a bully. In fact, he can be something of a white knight when he sees some poor defenseless dweeb getting picked on. He just sees it as unnecessary, and recognizes that most teenagers have enough problems without having to face torment at school.

appearance:So, Max is quite good-looking, and he is proud of that. He spends a fair amount of time sculpting his body to perfection, working out before class during the school year, and before work or practices in the summer. His typical wardrobe consists of jeans, a polo shirt and a letterman jacket, although he has been known to roll in high fashion when given a reason. He keeps his blond hair fairly short, as when he lets it grow, it tends to get a little out of control.

history:Born to Sylvia and Raymond Pennetta on a brisk autumn day in beautiful Northern California, Max seemed destined to live a reasonably charmed life. His parents were wealthy, not ostentatiously so, but as the owners of a vineyard for a major wine company, it was clear that the boy would rarely want for material things for long. Life, as it turned, would not be quite so perfect. When Max was only four years old, hid parents went out for dinner and a show. They never returned. A tragic car accident took both of their lives, leaving young Max parentless.

Fortunately, the Pennetta's had planned for such potential disaster, in their will leaving Max to his Godparents, George and Stephanie Antonio in Cincinnati, Ohio. Max grew up, popular and a reasonable student, but something of a rascal. In class, he was frequently disruptive and pulled fellow students off-task. At home, he was occasionally obstinate, reminding his Godparents that they were not his true parents when they handed down discipline that he did not feel was warranted. He was not a bad kid, he just seemed to harbor a chip on his shoulder at times.

As the blond entered high school, his behavior in school improved, however he became more of a handful at home. George and Stephanie often clashed over how to handle Max, leading to numerous, heated and stingingly personal debates. The tension ultimately became too much for their marriage, and in January of 2011, the Antonio's filed for divorce. Max finished out his high school term in Cincinnati, but as soon as Junior year ended, he moved to Lima with his Godfather. He was not happy to leave behind his high social status in Cincinnati, but both George and Stephanie agreed that it was better for Max to live with George.
other:His mother played the piano, which inspired Max to pick up the keys himself. He took lesson for a long time, and is a very competent player at this point.
