Sure they treated her differently since her father’s death and she wanted to live everyday like normal. She wanted to just live her life like nothing had never happened as far as Kate was considered her father was still alive and she knew this was not true. She really wanted to believe that her father was still with her no matter what she just needed him to be here with her. Her mother really had no idea how to help Kate out of this. Kate would talk to her mom about this but she didn’t know how to.
She walked out of her house and she was just going to go to the coffee shop to think and maybe write a little. Kate was the youngest in her family and her older siblings bonded more with her mom then she did. The girl needed some alone time and she just needed the day she thought. Her mother usually didn’t bother but she was feeling the pressure today form her more then she had before. She walked into the coffee shop and she saw him. The boy Jesse from VA who was one of her friends she stood by him though everything.
What was she going to say to him she had no idea. She liked him and she liked talking to him about things.
" Jesse hey How’s your summer going? Are you ready for school and things to start? I’m really excited to hear about your plan’s fro VA this year if you want to talk about them or can tell me. I just really needed to get out of the house and I landed here. "
She had no idea what he was going to say to her but she was happy to have someone to talk to

There really wasn't much for Jesse to do in Akron, Ohio. Which was part of the reason why he preferred the UCLA campus he had just been kicked off of, in California, or the magnificent New York. At first, he hadn't been sure what was keeping him in Ohio. It wasn't like he had friends or family tying him down here. Sure he had his doting parents who adored him and would love to have him around. But Jesse was actually living with his Uncle, which meant he was living in Lima right now. And since he didn't exactly have friends in Lima, what was the reason to stay? Sure he had a few friends in Akron. Several were special to him, but he could always visit him, couldn't he?
Well that wasn't going to be a problem, he wasn't going anywhere for a while now. And although he technically lived in Lima, he was certainly not going to spend his free time over there. Instead, he would rather spend his time in Akron.
He had some work to do, as he was the consultant for Vocal Adrenaline. There was no rest when it came to that job. But he had already known that from past experiences. How else would he have won four straight national titles? Not by sitting back and watching the clouds float by. So he had to start planning a set-list. Sure he would ask some of the kids for their opinions, but when it came down to it, he was only going to pick the songs they sounded best at.
Jesse had found himself scribbling in his notebook while drinking a strong coffee at the local Coffees shop. He was writing down songs that he thought the kids might be good at, but then etched some out because he realized that they all needed to be great at these songs...not just good. And then suddenly someone was talking to him.
Jesse looked up and saw Kate, who he hadn't seen in a long time. Since Jesse had left to go to UCLA, he hadn't been back to visit most of his old Vocal Adrenaline friends. He did go to New Directions in a failed attempt to get Rachel back, and he was still pretty upset about the outcome. He had seen Evelyn again too, but that was the extent of it until the auditions came around. So needless to say, he was pretty happy to see Kate. He stood up to give her a hug, after not seeing her for so long and pulled out a chair for her before sitting down.
"Hey Kate, if you're not in a rush you should sit down with me!" He smiled, pushing the pen and notepad to the side. I'm doing pretty good, super excited to be back with Vocal Adrenaline, you know. How are you doing, darling?"
[/b] He asked. He knew that she had lost her father, which was something Jesse couldn't imagine happening. "Well, I think VA is going to be as good as ever this year. Actually I'm trying to think of some songs that we can all rehearse to try and come up with a set list." He said as he pushed the notepad towards her. Most of the songs were scribbled out, but many of the Queen songs remained untouched on the paper. It was safe to say that Jesse was a fan of Queen, and Vocal Adrenaline had always killed the Queen songs. "I'm really liking the thought of you guys doing Under Pressure. But if you've got any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them. I still don't know what the theme is for this years sectionals though. But when has sectionals ever been a problem for us?"[/center] [/blockquote][/size] [/size][/font] |

Kate had moments when she wished that Jesse was her brother and it was not because Kate didn’t love her brother she did but she wished that he were more like Jesse. As much as her family said they understood her and who she was they would understand her really. It was not like Kate was a complicated person but she was different then her family was and she was confident in that. Coming out to her family as Bi was not the best decision the girl had made. Her brother and sister accepted her for who she but her mother was a different story. It was crazy sometimes how much Kate’s mom said she loved her but she sill disapproved of her and who she was.
Kate then remembered why she came out today. She wanted to get away from her house and her family. She looked at Jesse good the two could just talk about different things having to due to music. Jesse and Kate had the same taste in music she thought so it was easy to talk to him about music. Maybe they could just talk about VA and different shows. Kate had a lot of opinions on shows that she felt like Jesse would agree with. Kate and Jesse were a lot alike with the fact that they were in VA and they were both confident. Even though Kate was only a sophomore she made herself know the rehearsal room.
Kate was just going to talk to Jesse and she would see where it led them.
" . No like I said I just got here and so yeah of course I’ll sit and talk with you Jesse. I’m good looking forward to getting back into in VA and everything like that. I’m excited for us to be in VA this year Jesse. What type of songs are we going to do or do you not know yet? I thought you might seeing as you’re the male lead I thought you got the music before everyone else. "
[Kate really did think that Jesse got the music before the rest of VA did because he was the male lead. /size]
