Addison's Audition

That's the link to what I would assume Addison's audition would sound like. The girl talks for about 30 seconds, so feel free to skip ahead c:
So Addison was finally auditioning for New Directions. She wasn't doing this to boost herself on the popularity ladder. Addie knew damn well that joining the club wasn't going to do anything like that for her. So why even bother joining? Well, she had already experienced plenty of slushies down her shirt and on her hair. At least this way, she would get a slushie in her face for being a part of the Glee Club, and not for liking women. In her opinion, that seemed to be a bonus more than anything.
Besides, they wouldn't judge her. Kurt was a part of New Directions, and he was one of her good friends. That was about it, though. Her other friends were either not a part of the club, or they were a Warbler. These were the moments that she wished that she were a boy... damn, that would have been a good song to sing. "If I Were A Boy" by Beyonce, it might have actually worked. But instead, Addison had settled on a song a couple days ago, and spent much of her time rehearsing it with Gabe at her side. Addie had begged her brother to audition with her, and they could have probably pulled off a duet. But he wasn't comfortable with singing in front of groups. He preferred to play instruments instead.
So Gabriel had helped her totally re-do a pretty popular yet somewhat annoying top 40 song. It was such a risk taking a song like that into a show choir, since they were supposed to be all about the classics and Broadway and things like that... but Addison knew that she was going to have to stand out. But with a rap song? Yes, Addison had settled on a rap song. But the rendition she and Gabe had come up with didn't sound a thing like rap. It didn't sound much like the original at all, and Addie was actually pretty pleased with herself. Gabe came up with the chords for the guitar, and taught them to Addison. She wasn't much of a guitar girl, but the chords were simple enough.
And then, before she knew it, it was her turn on stage.
"Hi there. Umm, I'm Addison. Seventeen...and I'm fairly certain you've all heard at least one rumor about me..." She said slowly when she got to the microphone, shrugging at the last part. She had stopped caring about that a year ago. "I'm going to sing Super Bass, by Nicki Minaj." She felt the questions in the air. It was a ballsy move to sing anything by Nicki Minaj in the first place, after all, Addison found her voice to be rather annoying. But everyone that knew at least one thing about Addison knew that she wasn't one to play it safe. She just hoped that her song choice wasn't going to kill her chances.
"So here it goes..."
"This one is for the boys with the boomin' system
Top down AC with the cooler system.
When he come up in the club he be blazin' up,
He got stacks on deck like he savin' up."
Everything from Addison's look to her attitude might signal that she was nothing more than a rocker girl. She was pretty close for the most part, because she did like herself some Pat Benatar, or Janis Joplin. But it wasn't entirely true, because her voice was more soft than raspy. In fact, her voice was nothing at all like she was. Was it good? Well, she was going to find out soon, wasn't she.
"He ill, he real, he might got a deal,
He pop bottles and he got the right kind of bill.
He cold, he dope, he might sell coke
He always in the air but he never fly coach.
He is such a trip trip, sailor of the ship ship
When he make it drip drip, kiss him on the lip lip.
That's the kind of dude I was looking for,
And yes you'll get slapped if you're looking, ho."
Like any rap song, this one was invaded with cursing. Addison, of course, had no problem with cursing. But she was going to have to keep it clean in her audition. So she had changed up several of the words here and there, but some of them had stayed the same. The ones she felt she wouldn't get in trouble for.
"I said, excuse me you're a hell of a guy
I mean, my my my, you're like Pelican fly.
So shy and I'm loving your tie
I really wanna make you mine.
Yes I did, Yes I did, somebody please tell him who I is..."[/i]
As the chorus came up, she tapped the guitar, almost as if it were a small drum, and looked into the audience for the first time as she sang, and a small smile crossed her face.
"Boy, you got my heart beat running away.
Beating like a drum and it's heading your way, can't you hear that boom badoom ba boom badoom boom bass. That Super Bass..."
She let the sound of the guitar resonate before let out a sigh of relief. It was over. It was an awkward song to sing, not only because it was a rap but because it was clearly for a guy and Addison clearly didn't want to sing anything to a guy, but she had gotten through it. "Thank you." She said softly, and pulled the guitar strap off of herself.
