Jeff was bored, and despite having texted pretty much everyone in his phone, he hadn't heard a peep from any of his Warbler brethren and so, Jeff did what he usually did when he was bored - jam. Picking up his guitar, Jeff played the opening chords of "I Want You Back" by The Jackson Five. While not pop-punk or close to it, the sweet little tune was fun to play and who didn't enjoy jamming out and singing a long to Michael Jackson? Well, apparently Jeff's mom was in the minority of people who weren't too thrilled with the sounds of the Jackson Five being played and sung loudly through out the house. "Jeff! Jeff! Jeffrey Alexander!" called Joan Sterling up to her son, who was clearly too busy playing his guitar and singing to pay attention to her calls up the stairs.
The sound of his mom screaming cut through Jeff's sweet jamming to the Jackson Five as he stopped singing and playing his guitar, especially after hearing her call him by his almost full name. "Yes, Mom?" Jeff said putting down his guitar and peaking his head out of his bedroom, seeing his mom standing at the bottom of the steps with her hands on her hips. "Jeff, I'm trying to work on a major presentation for my open house tomorrow, could you perhaps go out for awhile, as much as I love hearing you sing and play your guitar, I could use some peace and quiet." Joan said looking at her son with a kind as possible smile. "Sure, Mom, no problem." Jeff said as his mom smiled and nodded, making her way back toward her office. Pulling his head back into his room, Jeff grabbed his his phone, keys, wallet, and sunglasses before making his way out of his room and down the steps. Normally, Jeff would tell his mom where he was going, but since she had been so insistent on him leaving her be, he decided to disturb her would be a bad idea. Making his way out to his car, Jeff opened the door and got in, placing the key in the ignition, bring the car to life as he backed out of his driveway and down the block.
The mall seemed like a perfect place to kill time, especially since hopefully Jeff would run into someone he knew so he wouldn't be so bored. Pulling into the mall parking lot, Jeff turned off the engine and got out, locking his doors before making his way toward the mall. Once inside, Jeff made his way toward the center of the mall, where he could take the escalator to Hot Topic, The Gap, or Hollister so he could cruise for some new clothes or just browse. Out of the corner of Jeff's eye, he caught sight of three very familiar people sitting on a bench - one being Blaine, the second being Nick, and the third being Nick's kid brother, Mike. "Dudes!" Jeff said excitedly as he made his way over toward the trio sitting on the bench. "I've been texting you both like all day!" Jeff said as he turned his attention to the littlest of the three boys. "Mikey, dude, how have you been?" Jeff said giving the little boy a fist pump before turning his attention back to Blaine and Nick. "So, what are you two dudes up to?" Jeff asked as he scanned both of their faces, a smile wide on his lips, because when it came to hanging out with his fellow Warblers, Jeff was always happy and excited.
