Ohio is scorching hot today, unlike any other day this summer so far and they're only into the middle of July. So far this is the second day that Caleb had been walking around like he was holding stolen goods, sweating like a pig, sweating in places he wasn't so sure he should be sweating in. Caleb knew he should be home, well Dalton. Caleb Parker knew if he stayed out long enough his rosacea would react with him and he'd look like a tall, hazel eyed Santa Clause.
In all reality, Caleb knew all those things, but he was so tired of seeing those same four walls of his place in Dalton. Caleb Parker knew Dalton inside and out thanks to being there all the time. Caleb had dreams of being big and famous, seeing his name in lights, big billboards of his face everywhere. That was his dream, so Caleb spent his time in the music room working on his singing. If Caleb wasn't there he was in the gym working out. Sometimes he'd venture outside of Westerville to a town named Lima for their music store and their collection of music. Caleb needed a get away.
Today it was just too hot for any big adventure, so Caleb just walked around, stopping to sit down in the shade by the park. He watched as people walked by, fanning themselves and drinking cold water. Suddenly his mouth went dry. "Damn, I should have gotten some water..." Caleb spoke aloud shaking his head at his own stupidness. Yep, he was gonna die of heat.

Dave had been in Westerville with a couple of the guys on the team, something about a party on college campus. It had all been good but god had he been bored. Their was no way that he could make a move on the guys he liked, the one person who had hit on him a freshman geek had ended up on a one way trip to the er with a broken jaw or nose or possibly both. The guy had been asking for it and he had to make a hasty retreat from the party, before someone worked out that it had been him who had sent the guy to the ER. Dave didn't wait to see whether or not the people he had come to the party with, had seen him get chatted up by some guy or the part of him that actually liked it. Even if the guy was a geek.
He had slept on a bench rather than in his truck, he'd had one to many to drink last night, so now he was in a park no idea which one or how far he was from his truck. He didn't even remember where the truck was, so it would be fun trying to find it again. Plus he was pretty sure his hang over was going to make his head explode.
He walked through the park trying to pull himself together, and try to remember where his truck was he came across a guy talking to himself. The first thing that came to mind was that he was imagining it all. "That would be a good idea, its got to be 90 out today." Dave said flippantly. "For both of us." He muttered patting his pockets yeap he still had his wallet.

Caleb was in his own little world, drifting into a hot place because of a damn heat wave. Caleb could feel his cheeks getting hotter, damn rosacea. At least his spot in the shade was supplying a small breeze. However a small breeze during a heat advisory/heat wave was like a emptying a bottle of water in a desert that spans at least a mile. Caleb shook his head and chuckled before hearing a voice speak.
Caleb jumped up, balling his fists in boxing mode. The guy was big, but reeked of alcohol and obviously still slightly drunk. Caleb took in the sight of the guy, his jeans, plain t-shirt and a letterman jacket. The jacket was flipped inside out, but from the way the guy was sitting you could clearly see the letter of a high school team. "What the hell man, you sleep in parks?" Caleb asked with a raised voice before loosening his fists and his stance. The guy was obviously not all there when it came to his current state.
Caleb sighed, clenching his jaw shut. Caleb extended his hand out the guy, knowing he might regret this later. In his mind, he sized up the guy, they were probably the same height, but the guy had him in weight. "I won't hit you unless you swing first, but based on your look, you have no idea where you are" Caleb spoke in a serious tone.

Dave groaned as he ran a hand through his hair, "Apparently so, a party last night and I'm pretty sure I have no idea where my truck is." Dave said as he pulled his jacket of and made a face yeah okay he smelt bad. Deoderant was in the car the guy in front of him would just have to deal with it, "Asperin would be good at this point as well." He muttered rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "I think they can actually arrest you if your drunk and behind the wheel, regardless of whether or not your driving." He said. "And I lost my truck, the bench was the next best place to sleep." He added.
When the brought up attacking him, Dave looked the guy up and down before snorting. He was pretty sure that he could take the boy, he may have been faster than him but the guy gave thirty or forty pounds to him. "I'm pretty sure I'd need just the one punch to take you out of the equation." Dave said to him with a smirk. "But your right, I have no clue about where I am. So you can help me out if you have the time, I'll buy you a bottle of water in return. I think my main issue is my truck." He said to him.
He was pretty sure that he was never coming back to this town with out a sat nav app on his phone or a sat nav device in his truck. If only people could see him right now, the big Karofsky lost and without his truck. How his enemies would love to have him like that right now, he'd be running blind through a foreign town to him.

Caleb listened intently to the drunken high schooler like himself, speak. The guy said something about a party "Don't tell me you hung out with those frat guys who scream obnoxiously loud and all they do is get drunk and hit on the girls in the all-girl school. They'll never learn" Caleb chuckled. His skin felt hot, damn heat. He was sure he was red in the face and the sweat wasn't cooling his skin like it should. "I don't think you would have gotten....okay maybe a summons but not arrested if you were sleep. Only way you'd get arrested is if you smelled like how you do now from the car" Caleb added.
Caleb rolled his eyes, not in a condescending kind of way, but in a 'I am entirely too hot for you to size me up when I just said I wouldn't hit you' kind of way. "Okay big guy, I'll let you think you can beat me, if its what makes you sleep at night. Don't let the looks fool you, I'm pretty good at fighting and defending myself. You swing, you find out" he spoke deathly dark, the tone pretty much surprised him. There was that eye roll again "Water, I'll survive. Let's find your truck first and get some aspirin for you. Maybe some cologne or deodorant as well?" he squinted before shaking his head.
Caleb's nature was to be nice, but looking at the guy he knew he was no where near nice and helpful as he seemed to be. Fight rudeness with crassness. Hypocritical, yes but it worked. "I'm Caleb, by the way" he said, introducing himself to the stranger. "First things first, before you got smashed, what direction did you park before heading to the campus?" Caleb asked before raising an eyebrow and leaning against a tree.

Dave shrugged at this it was very true what the guy had said, he had gone their for one reason to keep up the image that he had given himself around his fellow jocks. Only a few select people knew the truth about who and what he really was, it was going to stay that way for a while longer as well. If people wanted to live to see graduation anyway. "Yes to your first point and I wasn't going to take the risk on the second point." Dave said to him. "I erred on the side of caution which was probably a good thing all things considered." Dave said as he ran a hand through his hair.
"I swing I lose my only chance of finding my truck before christmas." Dave said to him. "Just so you know I tackle for a living and I take tackles from guys twice your size." Dave said to him with a smile on his face. "Now that we've had the pissing match about who can beat who in a fight, can we find my truck and some deoderant before I knock out half the town." Dave asked him.
"Karofsky." Dave introduced himself. He didn't see the point in giving the other boy his name, since no one ever used it except his parents. He preffered it that way as well. What was the point of going by your surname if all your going to do was introduced yourself as David or Dave. "I think it was the east side of the campus." Dave said to hiim.

Caleb nodded and stood facing the street "Well Karofsky, I hate to tell you this..." he started before turning to look at the still slightly drunken guy. "You are a super capable and smart drunk" Caleb added. "You see right now, you're all the way at the west side of town. You've managed to walk far away from your truck by yourself. Without getting arrested. For that sole reason alone, you're smart" Caleb spoke with a slight sarcasm. He knew already he wasn't feeling that Karosky dude from the second he really saw him. There was something about him, like he was holding something back about himself. Hiding if its the right choice of words.
Caleb sighed and scratched his head before wiping away at this forehead, sweat beads rolling down and threatening to land in his eyes. "You can relax though, I happen to know my ways around here. I live here so you're actually not in bad shape. There's a convenience store right there at the end of the block" he spoke nicely "...we can stop there and get you some Gatorade and Advil. Trust me, electrolytes and aspirin will help. I've been drunk like you once or twice." he squinted before shaking his head.

Dave laughed, "I can list a fantastically freak like sense of losing one self to my list of things I can do." Dave said to him. "Who knows that might come in handy later in life, when the wife wants me to go to some shop for groceries." Dave said to him with a shake of his head. "It might have been easier to find a bench closer to the campus to fall asleep on. But then I would still be lost with no one to help me find my truck." Dave said to him. "It helps that I am jock and a Straight A student, smart comes with the territory." Dave said to him. It seemed like Kurt was the only person who remember that his GPA put the rest of the jocks to shame. Dave was far from dumb, he was a calculating son of a bitch. If you thought anything else you were a complete moron. He targetted certain people he knew would not respond, people he knew would never report what he did. He watched then he hunted and got his prey.
"Great show me the way I went wrong." Dave said to him. "Gatorade would be good advil would be better, my wallet is here and intact so shop first truck second." Blaine said to him with a smile. "I get drunk every once in a blue moon, usually when I want to lose myself for a night. Last night was just a party, girls with boobs was helpful." Dave said to him which was of course a big lie. Dave had been with a woman last night but it was not something that he had enjoyed, he was pretty sure the woman in question hadn't enjoyed it either. Lets just put that down to a bad experience and leave it at that. "You live here so you are a college student or Dalton?" He asked.
